It is very important to avoid plagiarism of scientific texts and Linköping University Electronic Press offers free of charge to check if your article, book chapter or dissertation contains involuntary plagiarism before the publication is in print. The control can also be carried out on the student theses that hold a higher scientific level e.g. at the master's level.
The check is done by using the digital tool Similarity Check which controls against commercial databases, magazine and conference articles, books and chapters in books and other publishing material published via the internet. The major advantage of the Similarity Check is that it is possible to do the check several times before the publication is published. When the check is done, the publication is analyzed before it is returned to the author. File formats that are accepted are Word and PDF. Nothing is saved or stored and when the check is done the file is deleted.
The check is free. Send the publication to Peter Berkesand who performs the analysis. When the analysis is completed, the publication is sent back with any similarities with other publications marked with different colors and numbers and comments.
