Linköping University Electronic Press is a leading Swedish Open Access publisher (i.e. all of our material is freely available to anyone with an internet connection). We focus mainly on research material generated at Linköping University and the Linköping County Hospital (e.g. Ph.D. theses, research articles, undergraduate theses).

At LiU E-Press you will find some 6000 publications available in full text, free to download. You will also find abstracts and links to the original source of a large amount of the research that is conducted at Linköping University.

Additionally, however, we also publish a number of peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and historical databases.

Each year we have around 700 000 unique visitors from over 100 countries (some 75% of our visitors are non-Swedish) and 1.5 million document downloads.

Recently several of LiU’s researchers have been contacted by a commercial publisher who want to publish their Ph.D. Theses. Note that it is important to avoid transferring the copyright to the publisher. Read carefully all texts dealing with the copyright before you, as an author, sign the contract. Consult a legal expert if you are uncertain what to do. Publishing your Ph.D. Theses at LiU E-Press is the most efficient way of spreading your publication.
