
The World Renewable Energy Congress 2011 - Sweden (WREC 2011) was held in Linköping, Sweden during May 8-13, 2011. . The Congress was hosted by Linköping University in close cooperation with the World Renewable Energy Congress/Network (WREC/WREN). Based on the theme “Future Trends and Applications in Renewable Energy Technologies and Sustainable Development”, WREC 2011 covered 15 topics related to renewable energy technology, energy efficiency, climate change and sustainable energy systems.
WREC 2011 attracted over 600 attendants from at least 60 different countries. The Congress program included 18 plenary keynote talks, workshops, professional excursion tours and over 550 individual presentations by international contributors, distributed over 130 sessions. The proceedings have been divided into 15 volumes, each covering a separate topic. All published papers have undergone peer review by experts within the respective fields.
