| Abstract: | This paper suggests enriching the finite-state transducers (FST) analyser with erroneous forms marked with error tags, as a way of improving feedback on L2 misspellings. This approach can be useful both in isolated word error correction and in detecting real word errors in context-dependent word correction. But most important, it makes it possible to give metalinguistic feedback on the nature of the errors. |
