| Abstract: | Beam theories are extensively used for simulation of helicopter rotor blades. The predominant deployment of composite materials in rotor blade development demands for complex theories that are able to describe the elastic behavior of anisotropic and nonhomogeneous materials. In this paper a Modelica library is presented which is capable of simulating extensional, torsional and flexural deformation and the couplings between those degrees of freedom. The structural dynamic model is based on cross-sectional analysis. |
