In this paper we discuss practical experiences with hands-on training in the Digital Humanities based on an Austrian case study. We will present the ‚ÄúACDH Tool Galleries‚ÄĚ, an initiative organised by the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities (ACDH) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. This series of educational events aims to create a platform for developers and professionals to share their expertise and provide education and practical training opportunities for users of Digital Humanities tools. In order to give insight into the ways this initiative has been received by the community, we present survey data collected among the participants of these training courses.
