Title: ESF-LiU Conference. Cities and Media: Cultural Perspectives on Urban Identities in a Mediatized World, Vadstena, Sweden, 25-29 October 2006
Publication type: Conference proceedings and Posters
Issue: 20
Language: English
Introduction:

This is the electronic publication of the proceedings from the ESF-LiU Research Conference “Cities and Media: Cultural Perspectives on Urban Identities in a Mediatized World”, which was held in Vadstena, Sweden, 25-29 October 2006, gathering more than 50 international scholars with 14 invited talks in five sessions, 10 short talks and 17 posters. Since publication was voluntary, not all papers are included here, but the conference organiser and chair Johan Fornäs gives an overview over the whole event in his own text. He is deeply grateful to everyone who made this unique event possible, including not only all participants, session chairs and organisers, but also the conference sponsors: the European Science Foundation (ESF), Linköping University (LiU), The Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation (Riksbankens Jubileumsfond) and the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet).
