| Abstract [en]: |
This volume contains the papers that were accepted for
presentation at AADEBUG'97, the Third International Workshop on
Automated Debugging, held in Linköping, Sweden, May 26Â27, 1997.
The area referred to as automated debugging has seen major
developments over the last decade. The goal of the workshop was
to bring together researchers from different areas of automated
debugging and different programming communities to exchange
ideas and advance the state of the art of automated debugging. A
total of 20 papers were submitted to the workshop. Of these 11
were accepted for presentation, and 3 as position papers.
The workshop addresses advances in run-time checking,
debugging optimized code, program slicing, software testing,
knowledge-based debugging, and diagnosis of constraint programs.
On behalf of the Program Committee, I would like to thank all
those who submitted papers to AADEBUG'97. Thanks also go to the
Program Committee and others who helped in reviewing and
evaluating the papers. Also, special thanks to the invited
keynote speakers, Vijay K. Garg and Massimo Fabris. Last but not
the least, the effort of all those who helped in organizing the
workshop in one way or another, in particular Nahid Shahmehri,
Henrik Nilsson, and David Byers, are gratefully acknowledged.
